How Can I Screw with My Baord Today?

Nothing is worse than having a problem or a drawback with a board, and not having a way to fix it. This is where we try to help. Know of something we should add to this page? Email me. sicklittlemonke@hotmail.com.

Do you ride F3 or similar type bindings and you want heel straps?  Simple solution.  Grab some toe straps off of a pair of snowboard bindings and bolt them into the holes along with the straps from your original bindings.  You'll have to use some longer bolts to get it to work.  So there you have it.  That's it.  Just step in, ratchet down, and get to riding.

Problem: Orange eggs are too tight, and yellow are too loose.
Solution: Simple. Put one orange egg, in the front left, and another one in the rear right. Insert yellow eggs into the front right, and back left. It evens out.(inserts and eggs serve the same purpose and act the same way as long as the inserts/eggs are the same size)

Problem: Orange eggs are too loose.
Solution: Try adding washers into the space between the trucks and the top hats. Stiffens it up quiite a bit. Easiest to take the springs and all top hats out first. Then place the washer under the top hats that will be near the ground when riding, screw them in nice and tight, then applie the springs, eggs and top hats.

Problem: still too loose!
Solution:Pick up some springs from a MBS grom or cricket. These springs are a bit more narrow and much stiffer.

Problem: He, he... to... loose...?
Solution: Get ahold of some new trucks. If you have twin shock trucks, get some multishock, or quad shock trucks. If you have multishocks, get some quad shocks. This will allow you to set the springs further apart. You will need to drill new holes, but well worth it.

Problem: So how should I drill those holes you just mentioned?
Solution. Take the truck apart(The new trucks with the new spring settings), king pin and all, making note of where all washers go, and how the two sections over lap one another. Bolt the top part of the trucks on the deck. Some times the holes dont quite line up but there close and it wont hurt to widdle em out a bit. After bolting the trucks up to the old slots, just use the new holes that are in the trucks to guide you as you drill the new ones into the deck, Nice And Slow.

Problem: My board is Sqweekin Like mad!
Solution: Pick up some Bone's speed cream from a local skate shop. Put it into the spaces where the truck may rub when steering. Then if that doesn't work, clean the springs and top hats and lubricate the top hats where they set against the truck.
(Speed Cream is amazing stuff. It's used as a bearing lubricant making them faster, removes rust, and allows you to easily insert screws and such)

Problem:My alluminum trucks are grinding the kingpin into the face of the truck.
Solution:Get some washers and slap in there. If your kingpin isn't long enough to support the washers, you will have to get some longer ones, like the ones on the razors and blades.
